I'm a documentary filmmaker based in London. I'm currently developing a feature documentary with the splendid people at Roast Beef, titled Going Home, about the children of Somali immigrants visiting their 'homeland' for the first time. I'm also working on a film about bikers in Kuala Lumpur. In October, my film Last Sunday screened on BBC Two in Scotland. It's a 30' single about attitudes to the Sabbath on the Isle of Lewis which I shot, directed and edited. In 2012 I shot and directed a First Cut for Channel Four, Birds Balls and Brighton. I have also worked as a shooting AP for C4 and ITV. I shot and directed a 9-minute short for BBC Scotland, Under the Surface, as part of Bridging the Gap. It was an official selection of the 2011 Edinburgh International Film Festival. I graduated in 2010 from the National Film and Television School documentary course and my film 'Tsirk' was shortlisted for Best Newcomer at the Grierson Awards that year and was an official selection at Sheffield Doc/Fest.
